Finalist Detail 2025

Saronita Roy

  • Bangalore, Karnataka
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own persona.
  • I am Saronita, born and brought up in the city of joy Kolkata and settled in the garden city Bangalore. I am an actor; predominantly a thespian,a teacher in a school in Bangalore,an orator, writer, an acting, modeling, personality development and public speaking coach by profession, an avid reader, a dancer, home cook, healer and traveler by passion. I have worked in many Bengali movies, Bengali and Hindi webseries and ad films. I also perform on stage globally. Multiple failures in both personal and professional life, starting from my failed marriage, childhood depression, neuro psychological issues like epilepsy and plenty of medical complications couldn't bog me down , rather my deep inclination towards spirituality and constant practice of gratitude and self love have given me the strength of battling through all the odds with a vibrant smile. I have a vision and a mission to empower as many women as I can through spiritual awakening and help them to find their true life purpose. I am an empath, hence extremely sensitive and compassionate. I am very passionate about everything that I do, strong headed, strongly opinionated, bold, non judgemental, a creative soul and an ambivert. I am straight on face, I don't mince my words, I say what I mean. I am a fashion enthusiast hence very particular about my appearance. I have very strong professional ethics and etiquettes, mannerisms these things matter to me a lot. My students are very dear to me and I consider myself extremely blessed to have surrounded by unconditional love by my students. I enjoy interacting with people, lending my ears to the ones in need and being a true companion to those who need me. I don't believe in perfection because I feel it's a relative term and also an illusion to me. Everything that's broken and imperfect, I get attracted to those things. Yes I am a flawed human but I am extremely proud of the upbringing that I have received from my parents and I wear my flaws as the badges of honour. The scars in my soul depicts my journey and symbolise my growth. I believe everyday I am becoming the better version of myself. My competition is with me and I want to prove that a flawed human can also be an example and role model to the society. I believe in counting love and blessings more than anything else.

  • Your achievements that make you feel high
  • Though I believe my achievements are not equivalent to my success, having said that I would definitely mention a few of my achievements from the list which are close to my heart. • I received Swarna Srijan Samman at Kolkata International Micro Film Festival for my cinematic story 'Sahobas' , the story has been published in the book 'Baisher Bioscope' by KIMFF. • I received the best actor award for my role of Queen Gunabati in the play Visarjan written by Rabindranath Tagore • I was the university topper in my post graduation in Drama. • I was also awarded as the Style Icon Of The year in 2017 by SMPAI ,Kolkata. • I was the honourable judge and speaker at Tamasha the annual event of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management. • I gave my voice for the inaugural speech of Assam International Film Festival and a documentary of Notable actor Late. Mr. Soumitra Chattopadhyay. • I have been awarded as the best pageant mentor twice from Page 3 Artist, Bangalore. Apart from all these my biggest achievements of all time are when my parents say that they are proud of me, when my friends say they are blessed to have me in their life and last but not the least when my students say 'Mam, we want to be like you, you are our role model'. Nothing can beat the emotions that I have for all these moments I mentioned.

  • Define true beauty
  • As they say beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, but I believe beauty lies inside us. The way we look at us and feel about our own self. If we can build that innate connection with our mind, body, soul and our higher self that's when the true beauty radiates. Hence I would like to conclude this by saying we all are beautiful in our own different ways, so if we feel we are beautiful then only the world will treat us as 'beautiful'.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • I feel a complete family can't be defined by the number of people staying together but the values they rely on. For me there are five important pillars for a happy family, Respect, trust, Communication, love and last but not the least unity. If these pillars are strong then automatically the family becomes healthy, happy and complete.

  • What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
  • As I am a born traveller, my favourite idea of holidaying is to explore destinations from my wishlist with my family or friends. I love to indulge in local cuisine, local culture and artisan.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance?
  • Firstly I belong to fashion and acting background only as I mentioned before. In my more than a decade long career I have trained many models and actors and now they are ruling in the industry. For all this while the idea of participating in a pageant never popped up in my mind as I was truly content and happy in my professional arena though I have been panelists and associate directors of several regional pageants. Honestly speaking my students inspired me to a great extent to take this decision finally because they wanted to see me on a global platform and it's their constant motivation, encouragement and they kind of pushed me into this. As I mentioned I am extremely passionate about whatever I do , so now it has become my only aim to win the crown for myself as well as my students who are well established in the industry. I want to give my career a boost through winning this crown and also want to represent my country on a global platform in future. Hence I am ready to give my ten thousand percent to this no matter what it takes. Though I have received a whole lot of appreciation, numerous accolades in my life for my work but I feel I still haven't received the height of fame and credits that I deserve. So this platform is an opportunity for me to showcase my individuality and also to fulfill my dream mission of empowering as many people as I can through spiritual awakening and help them to find their true life purpose. Lastly I would like to mention my mentors and my students always call me a woman of substance, though I feel I have a long way to go to live upto their expectations and to truly be a woman of substance, since the title of this pageant is Mrs India - Queen of substance, I feel it aligns with my life purpose and through this platform I can become a woman of substance in true sense.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • Well I feel we are living in an extremely disturbing era. Anything that doesn't align with my values and energy bothers me to a great extent. But there are few issues which don't allow me to sleep at night sometimes. One of them is increasing number of 'abuse'. Be it molestation, rape, marital abuse or verbal abuse. I believe irrespective of gender these crimes are truly disturbing and justice should be served immediately because justice delayed is justice denied. Moreover people these days have become so intolerant that they don't understand we all are different individuals and we are not same and we are not supposed to be same. This is the individuality, with all these differences also we can coexist peacefully. Discrimination in any form is something that bothers me and I make sure I raise my voice against anything that's wrong ethically and morally. I never shy away from putting across my opinion about all the social issues that needs to be discussed.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • Live and let live. As I mentioned I believe in coexisting peacefully with all the differences, I believe each one of us has a different life purpose and different journey. So we need to focus on our own personal growth rather than judging others.

  • What is true
  • I would say for me true sportsmanship is being true to yourself and your ethics, morals and value system and simultaneously elevating each other's spirit with utmost honesty and integrity irrespective of the end result, winning or losing because as SRK says, haar kar jeetne walo ko Baazigar kehte hai.

  • If you were chosen as a Charity Ambassador what value addition would you make to our society and how ?
  • Firstly I would like to work on four aspects of self transformation such as self awareness, self love, forgiveness and gratitude. I believe the first step to promote change is to transform yourself or your belief system and to work on that self awareness is mandatory, the next step is practicing self love, when you learn to love yourself, your self esteem increases and when that happens then your understand your true value and then only you start respecting yourself, when you start loving and respecting yourself then the entire world starts loving and respecting you and also if you don't love yourself you can never love others as they say, you can't pour water from an empty vessel. Next I would like to teach the art of forgiveness, people need to let go of all the things, persons, situations, places and incidents that no longer serve them. It's very difficult to be free from all the negative attachments and emotions associated to it but it's equally important to learn and practice forgiveness so that one can heal from the negative energy. Last is gratitude, I would like to preach the practice of gratitude. One should understand the value of life and be grateful of all the resources the nature has provided us and be grateful about everything in life. If these four values I can implement , the process of self transformation will automatically start and then the rest of the values like honesty, integrity, courage discipline, commitment, responsibility, loyalty, empathy, tolerance and everything else will start growing. As a charity ambassador whichever cause I will work for, I will make sure the roots are based on these values and also I would specifically like to associate myself with the movement of educating under privileged children as I believe they are the future of our country, hence educating them rightly is very important. For me education is not only the bookish knowledge but also developing the right mindset and attitude, so I always teach with a holistic approach to contribute to the overall growth of the personality.
