- A brief about yourself and how you describe your personality and persona
Hard working, passionate, driven, disciplined, fun loving are few words that describe me. Growing up as an army kid, the nomadic rhythm of army life instilled in me an adaptability to handle new situations and new environment. I thrive on embracing the unknown. My energy is always seeking the next thrill, the next laugh, the next passion to ignite. I believe it's extremely important to have fitness as an integral part of one's routine. Fitness ignites me. I am a long distance runner and a badminton player. Techie at heart and by profession, I believe in leveraging the power of technology to connect people and make the world a better place. I am a people's person, l love meeting new people and I always manage to find common ground with strangers.
- Your achievements that make you feel high ,
I have received numerous awards at work and in sports, but the most fulfilling role is the one where I have impacted lives and made a difference to people around me. Starting from the profound role of a mom to my two beautiful daughters, to leading the diversity and inclusion program in my company, both the roles bring me a great sense of satisfaction. Through the D&I program, I have been able to engage, empower and provide job opportunities to many women who have taken a break from their careers due to reasons like maternity, parenting etc . Additionally I am also the President of the managing committee of my housing society where I contribute to building a stronger and a more cohesive community.
- Define the true beauty.
True beauty is beyond physical appearance and delves into inner qualities of a person. It lies in the purity and honesty emanating from one's heart. Being honest and truthful is truly beautiful, it reflects integrity and sincerity. It's a journey of discovering one's true self and radiating that inner light into the world.
- What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
Building a healthy and happy family is an ongoing journey. What truly makes a healthy and happy family is the presence of love, mutual respect, support, open communication, and a shared commitment to the well-being of each other. Besides this, having a strong foundation of core values and principles like honesty, respect, empathy and responsibility towards each other is important . I also feel celebrating milestones and occasions together, incorporating fitness and spiritual practices into family life plays an important role for a family to stay happy and healthy.
- What is your favourite idea of holidaying ?
My favourite idea of holidaying is connecting with nature and exploring new places. Beaches and the sea hold a special place in my heart. I find joy in walking barefoot along the shore, collecting seashells, basking in the sun, and participating in adventurous sea sports.
- Why are you participating in Mrs India Queen of substance?
I believe participating in a pageant like this at the age of 47 is a powerful statement. It challenges stereotypes about age and beauty. I hope it can inspire others to pursue their passion, break societal norms, and redefine conventional standards of beauty and accomplishment. I also believe the wealth of life experiences, skills and wisdom that I carry today can add value to this platform.
- What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today ?
The biggest challenge that the country is facing today is overpopulation. I believe most of the issues today are emanating from overpopulation as it is straining the infrastructure and social services availability, putting stress on the natural resources available, worsening environmental issues like deforestation, water pollution, and biodiversity.
- The Quote or saying that encourages you?
The quote that inspires me the most is by Albert Einstein "In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity." It encourages a mindset shift from viewing difficulties as obstacles, to seeing them as potential gateway to growth and newer opportunities.
- What is true ‘Sportsmanship’ for you?
True sportsmanship is about accepting victories and defeats with grace. It's about playing a fair game, adhering to the rules and respecting the integrity of the sport, where wins are sweeter when shared and losses sting less together.
- If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Valur addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
As a charity ambassador I would leverage my knowledge and influence to raise awareness about social issues and advocate for positive change. I would use technology and my position as charity ambassador to raise funds for women in rural India with the vision to empower them through education and job opportunities around the country. I would also conduct online campaigns to educate and inspire others to contribute to charitable causes in order to create a more inclusive and compassionate world.
