  • Jabalpur(M.P.)
  • A Brief about yourself and how you describe your own Personality and Persona.
  • Ans.Myself, Dr. Shruti Shrivastava Agrawal, a mother of two naughty kids (aged 11+ and 8+ years respectively) and a doctor (a gynaecologist) by profession. Professionally, I am, an Associate Professor (Obs & Gynaec) in a Medical College in Jabalpur and my husband is a consultant in Paediatrics in Govt. Medical College, Jabalpur. I am, an ever enthusiastic, insanely optimistic, hardworking, sincere individual with a lot of grit and determination. My playful children, keep the child in me alive, and keep the zing and the spark high at all times. My mantra in life- “Work hard and party harder.” &, “ Live your life to the fullest, because you live only once.”

  • Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
  • Ans.1. Professionally, myself being a gynaec surgeon (Doctor), provides me with a daily opportunity to heal my female patients, physically as well as mentally. I try my best to soothe their aches and pains, to the best of my capacity, as a doctor and as an individual. 2. By being the secretary of JOGS (Jabalpur Obs & Gynaec society) and a member of an active NGO (Jeevandeep), I try to contribute my little self towards the betterment of women, and the downtrodden and less privileged section of the society. 3. Giving birth to two lives (being a mother of two sons) and moulding them into good human beings, thus contributing positively towards the formation of a better world. Personally, I try to give my best to whatever roles I play in relationships. Whether it be an obedient and caring daughter, a helping sister, a dutiful wife and daughter in law, a midnight friend or a disciplined mother. Yes, I do make mistakes in all these roles, but I try to improve myself constantly. Beside this, a number of academic and social awards.

  • Define the true beauty.
  • Ans.I strongly believe that a woman is the most beautiful creation of God and hence undoubtedly, every woman is beautiful. Very well said, “Beauty is skin deep.” So, a woman with grace, dignity, compassion and kind heartedness, who strives everyday to contribute her little, towards the betterment of society and world at large appears beautiful to me. But yes, we do get attracted towards well groomed persona, in the first look. So extrinsically, a woman with a clear complexion, lusturous hair, fit and lean frame, neatly and smartly dressed up, good shoes, a gleam in her eyes, a broad smile to match with and soft spoken, definitely appeals to me, whether she is a household help or Mrs. World title winner.

  • What makes a complete, healthy and happy family for you?
  • Ans.A complete, healthy and happy family is one, where all the family members, enjoy mutual love, respect and trust and stand undauntingly together in times of sorrows, as well as happiness. Much more than the materialistic gains and pleasures, where the parents instill good moral values, into their children. Where the children respect and ask for forgiveness from their elders and where the elders shower unconditional love and blessing on the younger ones. Also not to forget, where the family follows a healthy diet and routine and also takes care of spiritual wellness. This is the essence of a complete family for me.

  • What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
  • Ans.Anywhere and everywhere in the world (whether it be the hilly tops, the blazing deserts, the snowfall or the vast oceans), but in the company of my near and dear ones. - With all the smart gadgets, kept at bay (all the smart phones, mobiles and laptops switched off completely) - In the cosy warmth of my partner. - Spending lots of time with children, playing and roaming about with them, reading out stories to them and listening to them. Added to it if I have a clean white linen, sparking clean washroom and great vegetarian food, that will complete the awesome holiday list for me.

  • Why you are participating in Mrs India Queen of Substance?
  • Ans.Having a secure job, I am not at all looking at Mrs. India Queen of substance as a career option. Besides the glory and the grandeur attached with the Mrs. India crown, this crown will provide me with a huge platform, where my voice and message can reach out at once to the millions of people, and hopefully they will take heed to it. Although it might be small, but I am already contributing my part, toward the betterment of women and women empowerment, and this crown will undoubtedly and purely intentionally, help me in a huge way, to contribute my part for the betterment of society. Also, the best part of this contest is that it is does not restrict itself to the women of particular age , weight, height and complexion, but looks to the female in total, as an individual and thus respects their personality.

  • What bothers you most about what is happening in the country today?
  • Ans.Violence against women, physically, mentally and sexually, both inside and outside their homes in our country, bothers me at large. India is one country where on one hand we worship the deities and goddesses and on the other hand, we inhumanly exploit and torture the females. Whether it be in the form of female foeticide, school drop out of girls, child labour and abuse, domestic violence, brutal rapes and murders or everyday physical and emotional abuse or sexual harassment at workplace. Our figures are drastically bad and some big measures to bring about a positive change should be taken at large, with immediate effect.

  • The Quote or saying that encourages you?
  • Ans.A few lines from the poem by Shri Harivanshrai Bachhanji- ^^ dksf’k’k djusokyksa dh dHkh gkj ugha gksrh] ygjksa ls Mjdj ukSdk ikj ugha gksrhA**

  • What is true “Sportsmanship” for you?
  • Ans.A sense of teamspirit, healthy competition (without resorting to any wrong means) discipline, fearlessness, determination and most importantly, to take the failure in the same stride as victory, defines the spirit of “Sportsmanship” for me.

  • If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
  • Ans.I am very well aware that your society “HCWA” is already doing a commendable job for handicapped children and underprivileged women. I am already serving my part for the betterment and upliftment of women, from “the women to the tomb” whether it be issues related to female foeticide, female literacy, child abuse, adolescent health issues, awareness about women health issues and specifically cancerous diseases and taking care of women in menopausal old age. Also I am connected with the NGOs which help out the needy and the downtrodden people. So myself being a doctor and having the above said experiences definitely gives me an edge over other people. I am also acquainted with the norms of health institutions and the ailments and sufferings of people. And the most important tools that I find for value addition, are creating awareness and generating funds, because we have only a handful of evil people, but a large number of good people in our society, who are ever willing to help these.
